A Midsummer Night’s Run Draws More than 4,200

More than 4,200 people participated in A Midsummer Night’s Run 2015 events held August 8 in downtown Lexington!

Eleven-year-old Xavier Brown of Lexington barely edged out Sarah Vickers, 12, of Winchester to take the Fastest Kid in Town title. More than 200 children competed in the annual competition, which features a series of sprints for children ages 3-12.

Winner of the One Mile Fun Walk/Run was Jake McEntee of Paris, with a finishing time of 5:47. Kinley Kunkel of Bedford was the female winner with a time of 7:21.

Brennan Fields of Richmond, was the overall winner of the 5K, finishing in 16.13. The top female was Emily Frith of Lexington, whose time was 18:15.
